Failure to give notice on your power contracts could treble your prices!
Businesses that allow their Gas and Electricity contracts to “roll over” are unwittingly allowing their supplier the opportunity to charge as much as three times the price of the best negotiated contract.
Here’s How It Works:
Businesses are tied into contracts for Electricity and Gas supply for between one and three years. At the end of your contract, if you fail to give notice to quit within the notice period, your supplier has the right to “roll you over” into another two year contract AT A PRICE OF THEIR CHOOSING! Do nothing and your bills will likely treble. All contracts have a specific notice period (between 45 and 180 days) if you fail to send written notice, at the right time, you will be tied into a continuing supply contract with the same provider but at their “Default” or “Emergency” tariff. This will never be in your best interest!
So, what’s the catch?
The catch is you have to do something! Without a photo/scan of your latest bill we can do nothing to help. You are in a fixed term contract with your current supplier, you may have to wait until the end of the contract to reduce your costs but the great news is that once these dates are in our system, at the appropriate time we can give you the choice to move to the best priced supplier at that time. As of April 1st 2017, your business has the right to choose its water supplier, just as it can Gas and Electricity. The cost reductions are not as large as with Power however, since its the same water from the same tap, it makes sense not to over-pay! Send us your last bill, and we will do the rest.
