Stratford-upon-Avon, 29th November 2023:
In a heart-warming collaboration, Pink Connect is thrilled to have played a pivotal role in bringing the magic of Christmas to T.S. Gurkha, the Sea Cadets in Stratford-upon-Avon.
This joyful occasion unfolded as a result of a generous donation of 10 cutting-edge laptops, a gesture made possible through the joint efforts of Nominet, and local businesses EncodeDotHost and Pink Connect.
EncodeDotHost, a local web hosting agency, successfully secured funding through Nominet’s ‘Givehub’ fund, an initiative aimed at supporting digital projects for U.K. charities. Neil Batchelor, Co-Director of EncodeDotHost, expressed his personal connection to the cause and engaged with Pink Connect to implement the provision and delivery.
At Pink Connect, we are known for our commitment to community welfare. Andy Beddow, representing Pink Connect, stated, “Being part of initiatives that directly impact and enhance the lives of young individuals in our community is at the core of Pink Connect’s values. We are honoured to have been involved in providing the Sea Cadets with the tools they need for a better educational experience. It’s truly gratifying to be able to contribute to projects that make a tangible difference in the community. Witnessing the cadets embracing these laptops for their training highlights the immediate positive impact our collaboration has had.”
Chris Wheeler, Chairman of T.S. Gurkha, couldn’t be happier with the tech infusion. “These laptops will be a great game-changer when helping our Cadets navigate, explore marine engineering, understand meteorology, and step into leadership roles,” he exclaimed.
This week, Pink Connect brought the magic with ten Windows 11 laptops, each equipped with essential, secure and up-to-date software. The presentation ceremony, attended by Neil and Daniel Batchelor of EncodeDotHost, Mark Bryan and Andy Beddow of Pink Connect, and Chris Wheeler, was a heartening event. The cadets wasted no time and immediately integrated the laptops into their training session that evening.
In a joint statement, EncodeDotHost, Pink Connect, and T.S. Gurkha Sea Cadets shared the joy, proving that when local businesses unite, they create magic.
