Byzantium Restaurant

Iconic Byzantium Restaurant in Bristol ended up solving a few problems after talking to local telecoms provider, Pink Connect.

Originally Pink Connect was invited to discuss how savings could be made on Byzantium’s phone services. Upon meeting at Byzantium, Pink Connect’s local director Andy Moore quickly established that calls were proving difficult to answer at busy times meaning potential reservations were being missed and that the restaurant was having problems with reliability and security of its internet connection and Wi-Fi network.

After listening to Byzantium’s requirements Pink Connect installed an NEC phone system that ensures that calls are never missed. Restaurant staff can still use their cordless phones, but at busy times and out of hours they can rely on a robust voice-mail system for those important reservations. The new phone system has also enabled Byzantium to reduce the number of phone lines whilst still ensuring that all those that need to make calls can still do so. This has saved unnecessary cost. In addition Pink Connect installed a reliable internet connection and a partitioned guest Wi-Fi network which means Byzantium’s customers can access Wi-Fi in the restaurant, but not reach Byzantium’s own office systems.

P J Reynolds Property Services in Bristol is now easier to contact thanks to Featureplus from Pink Connect.

Pink Connect was asked to review the phone services at P J Reynolds, a leading property lettings company within Bristol. After visiting P J Reynolds and building an understanding of the business it became apparent that the existing office set up was making it difficult to transfer calls and to ensure that calls weren’t missed.

Pink Connect recommended and installed Pink Featureplus, a cloud based voice over IP phone service together with a Pink fast internet connection which has also improved internet speeds at PJ Reynolds. Featureplus behaves the same as a telephone system, the main difference being that the phones can be used wherever there is a broadband connection with no charge for calls between phones.

Pink Featureplus has enabled P J Reynolds to easily set their phones to ring in the order they choose and change this when required. Pink Featureplus has also made it easy for P J Reynolds to run separate daytime and night time voice messages and mailboxes. These can be set up simply on the phones when leaving the office or remotely via a website if this gets forgotten. The night time message is important as it gives tenants a special number to dial for emergencies (like a burst water pipe) when the office is closed. The voicemail system automatically forwards voicemails as file attachments an email inbox as soon as they are left. This makes it very easy to pick up the messages on a smart phone.
